We are delighted to share some very exciting news from our USA based flight school Partner, Global Flight Training Solutions (GFTS).
On Wednesday, Sept 21st 2022, GFTS held a ground-breaking ceremony for 3 new hangar facilities at the Immokalee Regional Airport (IMM).
IMM is situated on 1,333 acres of land located approximately 35 miles northeast of Naples and 110 miles northwest of the Port of Miami and has two asphalt runways fixed with runway lights. Runway 09/27 is 5000x100 feet and Runway 18/36 is 4550x150 feet. Both runways are available 24/7.
Immokalee Regional Airport welcomed GFTS, an international flight training school, in late 2020. Since establishing operations at IMM, the company has developed successful flight training programs for both local and international student pilots. On May 11 2021, the BCC executed a forty year ground lease with GFTS for approximately 141,300 square feet to be used for the construction, and subsequent operation of aircraft hangars. The development will include three steel buildings approximately 10,000 square feet each, consisting of aircraft hangar units, office space and restrooms. The school's future plans include developing an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul facility (MRO) along with a Federal Aviation Administration approved jet charter operation.
This is a brilliant step for GFTS in their development of a larger campus and training grounds for their flight students.
